Are You Afraid To Fly?

Since I've been flying consistantly since I was 10, I don't have the same fear of flying that millions of Americans do. I have a friend that literally breaks out in to cold sweats during takeoff. I don't even want to tell you what he does to his wife's hand during turbulence. Yeesh. Although, aerophobia may stem from a number of other fears - like heights, small spaces, or lack of control - it's a serious issue on it's own.

And of course, news of planes virtually falling from the sky, like the US Airways flight that landed in the Hudson River, may just aggrivate fears of stepping onto a plane. But the good news is, you have a greater risk of being struck by lightning than being involved in a plane crash. And how many people do you know that have been struck by lightning? Exactly.

1st Class Sleeper: That's Pimpin' or You Trippin'?

Call me a flight snob, but I'm one of those people that never boards a plane without my neck pillow. Anything that can make me more comfy in the air is fine with me, but I do require it to have a bit of style. Unfortunately, this little number may fall a little short in that department.

As a portable air pillow, the 1st Class Sleeper ($30) does it's job. With a few puffs of air, the Sleeper inflates and not only supports your neck, but your lower back while you enjoy "first class comfort in coach-class seating" (natch). But of course the best part about the 1st Class Sleeper rolls up for easy transport so you can take and use this baby in the car, on the bus, or wherever you need support. But can I just state the obvious? It's kinda fug. What do you think?

Where's Your Perfect Vacation Location?

Different Strokes for different folks! Although I can't get enough of warm, sandy beaches and days spent meeting fish while snorkling, I also like to lose myself (well, not literally) in a forest lake location. What is your idea of the perfect vacation location?
