Although tempting, these jobs are highly sought after and applicants are fiercely competitive, but that hasn't stopped everyone and their mother (literally) from applying. Have you ever applied or auditioned for a travel job contest?

Although catching a flight can get me from point a to point b in the shortest amount of time, there's just something about taking a train that feels so authentic. Somehow for me, that's the perfect way to travel — you still get to see everything between home and your final destination just outside your cabin window, and you don't have to worry about traffic, gas, or stopping for snaks. It's all included!

Which is your favorite way to get to where your're going?
I went on a four day Carnival cruise to Mexico last year, and had a total blast. Between the karaoke contests, the air guitar championships, and Name That Tune, I came home with a ton of great memories to share with the group of friends that acted as my partners in crime that week. I wouldn't mind going on another cruise, but after hearing about the newest ship Carnival is adding to its fleet, I may need to wait until next year.

Launching this September, the Carnival Dream offers plenty of amenities I didn't get on the Elation: two water slides, more cabins with balconies, awesome overhanging Jacuzzis, and dance clubs with outdoor access. I'm excited about that last one since I like to bust a move, but hate how hot it gets on the indoor dance floor.
